The roof is common property, so panels on it change something all eight owners share, and every owner gets a say. This motion decides everything at once: whether it goes ahead, the system size (36 kW, based on Google's model of the roof), the cost, which fund pays, and that the owners corporation maintains it afterwards. NSW treats solar as a sustainability upgrade, so it passes unless 50% or more of the votes, counted by unit entitlement, are against it. Before the vote, the meeting must consider the cost, the running and maintenance costs, who will own and maintain the system, and which lots can use the power it makes.
