Put your body corporate on autopilot

Quarter is a new approach to managing your body corporate. We focus on doing the basics right: making sure that the levies are collected, the bills paid, your maintenance plan is fully funded, and you’re operating in a compliant way. Our pricing reflects this focus, and our technology led approach, which leaves more money for the important stuff.

Switching to Quarter

  1. 1.

Check out Quarter & review the proposal

Claim your home and try out Quarter for yourself. If you like what you see, then add your support to the proposal.

  2. 2.

The Chair calls for a vote

The Chair issues a notice of a resolution to be passed without a general meeting (they can do this in Quarter). Owners then vote in Quarter, and once 83 owners (75%) are on board then the motion is passed.

  3. 3.

    We’ll manage the handover

We’ll work with your existing manager (or you if you’re self managed) to get the necessary documentation loaded up into Quarter in time for the switchover date that’s in the proposal.

  4. 4.

On the switchover date, you’re live!

That’s it! Owners will start receiving communications from Quarter. We’ll let you know when things need to be done, and you can log in to quarter.nz to see everything at any time.

What’s included

Scheduling meetings

Quarter builds the agenda, schedules the AGM, counts votes, takes minutes and records decisions.

Drafting proposals

Quarter turns your shower thought into an official resolution that your neighbours can vote on.

Collecting (& chasing) the levies

Quarter issues levy invoices to owners, then chases them up. You can pay levies using online banking, Volley (open banking) or Credit Card.

Paying the bills

Bills get sent to Quarter, where they’re checked against the budget. Once two committee members approve, they get paid automatically.

Creating the budget

Quarter builds a proposed budget for each year based on the previous year and what’s coming up.

Tracking long term maintenance

Quarter tracks what needs to be done and how to get it done alongside live LTMF projections to help avoid special levies.

Tracking compliance

We keep track of changing legislation and let you know when something needs to be done, or if we can, we’ll just do it for you.

Answering questions

Ask Quarter anything about your building, get an instant answer based on the Unit Titles Act. Ask in app, by email or on WhatsApp.

Bank account

We operate trust bank accounts with one of the major banks. Quarter can also work with your existing Bank Account if you have one.

Insurance

We work with CIX who take a tailored approach to get the best quotes for your building. Or BYO broker, we don’t take commission either way.

Tax filings

We file your annual tax return through our partner Tax Agency (who will become your body corporate’s Tax Agent).

Postal mail

We prefer email but where needed we post out notices to owners. Our office can also be your address for service for receiving mail.

Expert advice (from real humans)

Our team have a decade of experience in managing Body Corporates. When you need help with something, we’re here. You’ll also benefit from being part of the Quarter community, where we share knowledge of how costs are tracking, and which suppliers have been good to work with.
